Professor Maurice Stucke’s new book, “Virtual Competition: The Promise and Perils of the Algorithm-Driven Economy,” is being given the spotlight by the Times Higher Education as its first “Book of the Week” for 2017. The book warns that algorithms have the power to manipulate competitive markets.
