Friday, November 14

Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

Eric Franklin Amarante joined the Winston College of Law in 2017 and focuses his research on nonprofit law, particularly the regulation of charities. His scholarship has been widely published and recognized with awards including the Marilyn V. Yarbrough Faculty Award for Writing Excellence. A dedicated teacher and advisor, he supports multiple student organizations and serves on several nonprofit boards in East Tennessee. Before entering academia, he practiced corporate law at Sullivan & Cromwell and Davis Wright Tremaine. He holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Luncheon & Faculty Speaker

Enjoy a relaxed and welcoming luncheon with fellow alumni and current faculty. This meal offers the perfect opportunity to catch up and reflect on how far Winston College of Law has come. The luncheon will feature remarks from respected faculty, offering insights into the future of legal education, current student successes, and the lasting impact of alumni engagement.

This panel discussion will cover a range of topics, including student life, classroom dynamics, and the ways students are preparing for the evolving legal landscape. Expect a thoughtful and inspiring conversation—and a few reminders of what it was like to walk the halls of the Winston College of Law.

The evening brings your class together for a dedicated dinner filled with great food, fond memories, and meaningful conversations. Whether it’s your 10th, 25th, or 50th reunion, this dinner is a time to reconnect with old friends, share updates, and celebrate your shared legacy. Dress is business casual and laughter is encouraged.

Alumni Tailgate on the Patio

Keep the celebration going on Saturday with our Alumni Tailgate on the Winston College of Law patio! Reconnect with classmates, enjoy the game day atmosphere, and soak up the spirit of Rocky Top with a relaxed and festive outdoor gathering.

Your ticket includes all-you-can-eat tailgate fare, a variety of beverages including two alcoholic drink tickets, live music, yard games, and more! Whether you’re here to cheer on the Vols, catch up with old friends, or just enjoy the energy of campus on a football Saturday, this event promises great food, fun, and fellowship for alumni and guests of all ages.

Dress in your best orange and white and join us for a day filled with Vol pride, laughter, and memories in the making.

Tennessee vs. New Mexico State
Saturday, November 15 | Neyland Stadium

As part of Reunion Weekend, we’re excited to offer a special block of tickets for alumni attending the UT vs. New Mexico State football game at Neyland Stadium. Sit alongside fellow Winston College of Law graduates and cheer on the Vols in one of the most iconic college football venues in the country.

A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase through our reunion registration page. Don’t miss this chance to experience game day on Rocky Top with your classmates and make it a true Big Orange weekend!

Parking

Volunteer Hall Garage

If you’re visiting the College of Law, visitor parking is located at Volunteer Hall Garage, directly behind us on White Avenue between 16th Street and James Agee Street, and is available for campus guests and the general public.

Visit UT’s Visitor Parking for additional information about parking and view an interactive campus map here.

Please visit UT’s Gameday Parking for more information on parking availability on camps during home athletic events.

Additional public parking options are available in non-University lots. For more information, see this list compiled by the University’s Parking and Transit Services office.

Game day parking for all lots surrounding Neyland Stadium is reserved for pass holders.

Though it’s a little farther from Winston Law than downtown options, you can still reach campus via a short drive.
