Today the College of Law issued the following statement regarding the killing of George Floyd and the events that have followed. We are deeply disturbed by the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police officers entrusted with upholding the law.

Graduate launches project to assist offenders reenter society

Recent College of Law graduate Brooke Spivey has been named a 2020 Fellow with Equal Justice Works.  The organization annually selects a class of public interest lawyers who have designed innovative projects in partnership with legal services organizations to address unmet legal needs and underserved communities.

Heminway to serve as academic fellow for Initiative on Quality Shareholders

Professor Joan Heminway has been selected to serve as an academic fellow with George Washington University’s Center for Law, Economics and Finance. As an academic fellow, Heminway will work with the center’s Initiative on Quality Shareholders to research and report on financial investment.
