Soon-to-be graduates set fundraising record for College of Law

The College of Law’s Class of 2019 has raised more than $110,000 for student scholarships and programs through the third-year (3L) student class gift campaign.  Each spring semester at the College of Law, graduating students organize the fundraising effort, encouraging their classmates to develop a practice of giving back to their alma mater.

Students argue case before US Court of Appeals

Two College of Law students spent their final week of law school arguing a case before the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. For the last year, students in the College of Law’s Appellate Clinic, led by professors Lucy Jewel and Wade Davies, have been reviewing and preparing the appeal.

Graduate employment rates remain high for 2018 grads

College of Law graduates remain successful finding jobs, both at the time of graduation and 10 months afterward, keeping the school’s post-graduation employment rates among the highest in five years. According to information shared earlier this month with the American Bar Association, 93% of 2018 graduates were employed 10 months after graduation.

University honors Law Women student organization

The Law Women student organization at the University of Tennessee College of Law has earned the university’s 2019 Charles R. Burchett Citation for Extraordinary Contributions to Campus Life. The award was presented to the group this week during the annual Chancellor’s Honors Banquet, the university’s largest recognition event of the year.

UT Pro Bono celebrates 25 years
