In collaboration with a class at the University of Memphis, Professor Wendy Bach’s students surveyed courts across the state about eviction cases and developed materials for those fighting illegal evictions.
Charisse Heath will join the College of Law in July as the director of the Academic Success Program. As the Academic Success Program director and a member of the faculty, Heath is responsible for providing instruction, counseling and advising assistance to students throughout the course of their academic careers at the College of Law.
Renowned author and interdisciplinary professor Meera E. Deo will lead a virtual workshop with College of Law faculty this month to discuss her book “Unequal Profession.” Deo’s research centers upon trends in legal education, institutional diversity and affirmative action.
The University of Tennessee College of Law’s 2019 graduate employment rate is near the highest it’s been in more than five years. Of the college’s 113 graduates in the class of 2019, 87 percent are employed in full-time, long-term bar passage required and J.D. advantage jobs 10 months after graduation.
