Five candidates vying for College of Law Dean

Five finalists have been named in the search for the next dean of the University of Tennessee College of Law. Finalists will give community presentations on campus beginning next week. All presentations will be held from Noon until 1 p.m. in Room 132 in the College of Law. Monday, Nov. 8—Melanie B.

Legal Clinic launches effort to study systemic racism

The UT College of Law Legal Clinic has been awarded a $3,000 grant to fund a project that will enable it to be more responsive to communities of color most harmed by systemic and structural racism.

Clinic event reaches more than 150 East Tennessee residents

In the span of just eight hours, faculty, students and volunteers with the College of Law Legal Clinic helped more than 70 people change their lives. Some of those people faced suspended driver’s licenses. Some couldn’t secure employment. Some faced legal fees they had no ability to pay.

For the second consecutive year, the University of Tennessee College of Law has welcomed one of its most high achieving and diverse classes of students.  The incoming class of 2020 students have a median undergraduate grade point average of 3.
