In this 1-day program, lawyers will hear presentations from business law professors and practitioners. The program focuses on mergers and acquisitions and the evolving landscape of deal work. It is designed to cover various aspects of M&A deals in different industries, at different stages, and the myriad considerations that may affect those deals. The program explores a range of legal and business issues that arise in M&A transactions, including insider trading risks, private equity and banking, the rise of artificial intelligence, and transactions involving financial institutions and the energy industry. Specifically, it aims to weave the threads of topical business law issues together into a tapestry that engages legal scholarship, law teaching, and law practice.
