Bob Lloyd
Bob Lloyd joined the faculty in 1983. He served as Lindsay Young Professor and was the founding director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Law. Prior to coming to UT, he served in the United States Marine Corps and practiced law with an AmLaw 100 firm.
During his teaching career, he taught courses in contracts, sales, secured financing, law and economics, and business transactions. He received numerous awards for his teaching and scholarship. He also served as a member of the Uniform Law Commission and served on committees drafting laws on secured transactions, fraudulent transfers, and autonomous vehicles. He chaired the committee that drafted the most recent version of the Tennessee Uniform Limited Partnership Act. While he was in private practice, he chaired the Real Estate Finance Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and an emeritus fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Bob has written numerous articles and books in the fields of legal education, secured financing, and economic damages. He has served extensively as an arbitrator in cases involving contracts and securities law.
Bob holds an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a law degree from the University of Michigan.
