Leadership education focus draws praise from Bloomberg Law

The University of Tennessee College of Law’s Institute for Professional Leadership has been recognized for “leading the way in educational innovations.” The Institute for Professional Leadership is one of only eight U.S. law school programs honored by Bloomberg Law’s Law School Innovation Program as a top-scoring innovative legal education program in student development.

College of Law names two students Hardwick Fellows for 2022-2023

Third-year law students Sarah Beth Cain and Alexander Wright have been named 2022-23 Hardwick Fellows for the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Institute for Professional Leadership. The students will play an important role supporting the institute’s curricular offerings and aiding in educational, research and outreach efforts.

If you would have asked Doug Blaze 40 years ago what he wanted to do with his life, he would have told you he wanted nothing to do with a desk job. “Everybody I knew wanted to be a lawyer or a doctor, and that’s not what I wanted to do,” he said.
