Loan repayment assistance available

The University of Tennessee College of Law is again offering loan repayment assistance to current students and alumni who are working in the public interest area. Thanks to the generosity of the Baker Donelson law firm, the College of Law will provide up to $10,000 in loan payment relief to qualified applicants.

TN Supreme Court Justice Sharon Lee to address graduates

Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Sharon G. Lee will serve as the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Spring 2023 commencement speaker.  Lee, a 1978 graduate of the College of Law, has spent 45 years as a lawyer and jurist.

Professor Emeritus recognized for lifetime contributions to environmental law

University of Tennessee College of Law Professor Emeritus Dean Rivkin recently received the Svitlana Kravchenko Environmental Rights Award. Members of Land Air Water, a student environmental law society at the University of Oregon, presented the award earlier this month at the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference.

Leadership education focus draws praise from Bloomberg Law

The University of Tennessee College of Law’s Institute for Professional Leadership has been recognized for “leading the way in educational innovations.” The Institute for Professional Leadership is one of only eight U.S. law school programs honored by Bloomberg Law’s Law School Innovation Program as a top-scoring innovative legal education program in student development.
