$1 Million Pledge from Tennessee Law Firm Supports Scholarships at Winston Law

A $1 million pledge was made on behalf of Summers, Rufolo & Rodgers, P.C., a Chattanooga-based law firm, to support students and faculty at the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law. The gift will support scholarships for students interested in pursuing legal careers in advocacy, as well as the Douglas A.

UT College of Law ranked among top programs by U.S. News

In the newly released 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Law Schools rankings, the University of Tennessee College of Law continued to be ranked among the best law schools nationwide. The college ranked 26th among public institutions and 52nd nationally.

UT Legal Clinic Honored for Extraordinary Community Service

This fall, the Legal Clinic at the University of Tennessee College of Law was recognized by both the Knoxville Branch of the NAACP and Legal Aid of East Tennessee for its extraordinary community service and legal representation of clients who cannot afford an attorney.

Kevin Escalona Wins Transactional Law Competition The Closer

On January 14, 2024, Kevin Escalona (UT Law ’24) won The Closer, the nation’s most challenging transactional law competition. The Closer is hosted by Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas.  Each year, Baylor Law invites fourteen law schools to compete. Unlike most competitions, each school can send only one student.
